The day, as it was.

Arley Hall Wedding Videographer

I've filmed at Arley Hall and I know the space well. The light, the layout, the timing of the day. It means I can work quietly and never miss what matters.

Looking for an Arley Hall wedding videographer in Cheshire? This Grade II listed Elizabethan-style country house sits in 18 acres of gardens near Northwich. Herbaceous borders, private chapel, Cruck Barn and formal rooms with serious natural light. One of Cheshire's most distinctive

Arley Hall is a proper country house. Victorian, built in Elizabethan style, with the kind of rooms that earn their presence - high ceilings, elaborate plasterwork, stained glass that throws colour across stone floors when the afternoon light hits. The house has been a filming location for decades, appearing in Peaky Blinders and Fool Me Once, and the reason is simple: the architecture photographs honestly from every angle.

As an Arley Hall wedding videographer, the thing that sets this venue apart is the range of spaces within a single estate. The main house offers formal rooms flooded with natural light through large feature windows. The private chapel provides intimate, traditional ceremony space. The Cruck Barn - exposed medieval timber framing - holds up to 250 and reads completely differently on camera: agricultural, warm, honest. Each space has its own light and acoustic character, which means the film moves through genuinely different environments without ever leaving the grounds.

The gardens are where Arley earns its reputation. The double herbaceous border - one of the earliest in England - runs the full length of the formal gardens and shifts in colour and density through the seasons. The ilex columns create natural architectural framing outdoors. The walled garden, rose garden, furlong walk and tea lawn each provide distinct backdrops for couple moments. There's always somewhere to go that feels separate from the last place, which matters when you're building a film that needs visual variety.

Golden hour here works well. The gardens face south and west, catching afternoon and evening light generously. Morning light enters the east-facing rooms softly, afternoon sun warms the wood panelling and plasterwork, and by evening the transition from garden to candlelit interior feels natural rather than forced. The Olympia Barn and courtyard marquee handle evening receptions with genuine atmosphere.

The Best Decision for our Wedding

"We don’t even know where to start! Hiring Chris to shoot our wedding video was the BEST decision we made for our wedding. From the first meeting we had to discuss his style and approach, we knew we were on to the right person. Chris’ attention to detail is parallel to none."

Worth Every Penny

"We weren’t originally going to get a videographer but it was worth every penny. The whole day is so much to process that you forget bits after. Having this video to treasure forever was the perfect way to cure the wedding blues."

We Felt Completely Comfortable

"Before meeting Chris, we weren’t sure how to appear on film. After working with him, we felt completely comfortable, and he captured every organic moment we wanted."
