Froyle Park in Hampshire. A fusion wedding; Indian and Portuguese traditions running side by side across a country estate built for exactly this kind of day.

Two Cultures, One Day

The estate gave us everything. Grand rooms for the indoor ceremony. Lawns and gardens for the quieter moments between. Frederica and Amit moved between both worlds easily - formally dressed Hindu rites in one hour, relaxed drinks on the terrace the next. That range made the day feel bigger than most.

The Fusion

Frederica's family brought Portuguese warmth. Amit's brought Indian colour and ceremony. The two traditions didn't just coexist - they fed off each other. Saris alongside tailored suits. Garlands alongside champagne. The contrasts are what made the film interesting to cut.

The Speeches

Frederica's uncle gave a speech nobody expected. Unscripted, unplanned, and one of the sweetest I've filmed. That kind of moment only works if the audio is already running, which it was.

The vows were the opposite - considered, personal, quiet enough that the room leaned in. I built the film around them. They earned it.

Working Around Restrictions

Froyle Park has tight drone restrictions. Neighbour complaints mean limited flight paths, and you plan around them rather than push against them. It meant being deliberate about which aerials to prioritise. The estate looks best from the south approach - that's where I focused the flight time.

The Edit

Frederica mentioned the Interstellar soundtrack early on. That set the tone - something short, with weight. The grade leans warm. Creamy highlights, organic grain. A classic film feel rather than anything too clean or digital. The vows carry the middle section. The uncle's speech closes it.

Why It Matters

A wedding like this has too many layers for photos alone. The film holds the rhythm of the day. The pauses. The laughter that built through the uncle's speech. The shift from ceremony to celebration.

Frederica and Amit's day at Froyle Park moved between two cultures and a dozen moments that only make sense in motion. That's what the film keeps.

We were thrilled working with Chris as our videographer for our big day!

From the very first meeting with him my wife and I knew he was who we'd wanted. He was extremely engaging, had a wealth of knowledge on how to approach our day and was more than willing to accommodate our requests!

He'll put you at ease with great creative direction throughout the day and got on perfectly with the guests. The final product..all I can is WOW!... the editing, the lighting, the production all of it was 10/10.

We can't recommend Chris enough and big big thank you for delivering such an incredible video for our wedding!
