One person.
The full picture.

I'm Chris Oxley. I film weddings at country houses and private estates across the UK.

I started this because when I got married in 2015, we didn't have a videographer. I wanted to build something I wished had existed for us. Films that hold up years later. A real record of a real day, not a montage of prompted moments.

I handle the consultation, the filming, the edit, the grade, and the delivery. Fifteen weddings a year, and I'm personally at every one.

Behind the camera.

You're not hiring a company. You're hiring me. This is a short introduction to how I film, how I edit, and why I only take fifteen weddings a year.

Featured wedding films.

Each couple trusted me to tell their story honestly. Here's what that looks like.

Arley Hall

"We knew when we first met you, you were the right man for the job. The time you've taken to get to know us and then somehow create these edits that match our personalities is just crazy. These films are so much more than we were even expecting."

Newton Hall

OMG OMG OMG! Wow - we are both sitting here in tears.

The Difference

Your day first.
Your film, a close second.

Many wedding videographers arrive with a shot list. I don't. I arrive early, stay quiet, and pay attention. The film comes from what actually happens. I might offer the occasional quiet prompt when it matters, but I'm not staging moments or running through the same poses as everyone else.

I tend to work with couples based in and around London who want something honest. A real record of a real day. Not a highlight reel built from the same five moments as everyone else's.

I film fifteen weddings a year. That number lets me edit every film personally, respond to every email myself, and still show up fully present on your day. Every frame graded and cut by me. No outsourced editing. No house style.

How It Works

Quiet craft.
Full attention.

The ceremony is twenty minutes. The speeches are forty. The day has a hundred small moments that happen without anyone calling them out.

I use discreet microphones to capture every word during the ceremony and speeches. The rest of the day, I stay close but out of the way.

01

The consultation

A call to understand your day; the venue, the shape of the timeline, who you want on film. No hard sell. Just a conversation.

02

The filming

I arrive during preparation and stay until well after the first dance. I follow the day. Sometimes I'll suggest something - a walk, a pause, a look. It's always quick, always worth it.

03

The edit

Every film is graded and edited by me. Teasers land within a couple of weeks. The full film follows once it's right.

04

The films

You'll forget the sound of your dad's voice during the speech. The way the room went quiet before you walked in. The look on their face when they saw you. The film remembers.

Frequently Asked Questions

You're trusting one person with your entire wedding day on film. Not a team, not a brand with a roster of freelancers. Just me. That's a big decision, and it should feel like the right one before you get in touch.

These are the questions most couples ask before they enquire. If yours isn't here, get in touch using the form below and I'll come back to you personally.

What's included when I book?

Every booking includes two films. The Wedding Film is my creative edit — graded, scored, and cut to feel like your day. No fixed runtime. Some are five minutes, some are fifteen. The Archive Film is the full day in order. Every usable moment I captured, ungraded, nothing cut. You get both as standard.

Are travel costs included?

All UK travel and accommodation are included in the price. No mileage charges, no hotel invoices after the fact. For destination weddings, we'll discuss travel arrangements as part of the quote.

How long until we receive our films?

If you've booked a teaser, that typically lands within a week of your wedding. The Wedding Film and Archive Film take longer because they deserve the time. Expect three to six months depending on the time of year and the number of deliverables in your package. After the wedding, you'll receive a link to my editing queue so you can check progress whenever you like. No chasing, no wondering where things are at.

When should we book?

I take fifteen weddings a year and weekends in peak season fill early. If your date matters to you, get in touch sooner rather than later. There's no deposit pressure — just a conversation to see if we're a good fit.

Film Collections

from £2,500

Two films. One is the creative edit — my read of your day, graded and set to music, as long as it needs to be. The other is the full day, preserved. Every raw moment I filmed, in order, so nothing is lost to the cutting room floor.

Coverage and deliverables are shaped around your day. We'll work that out together on a short call.

The Creative Piece
